InSPIRED Specialist Program

Why InSPIRED?

According to predictions from the World Economic Forum and the OECD, 65% of the jobs children will one day do haven’t been created yet. ECC has designed a Specialist Program to help students develop the skills and mindsets that will be valued in future industries and careers. More than just a class, this program provides hands-on, project-based learning where students will learn to create innovative solutions to real-world problems through the design process.

What the Program Offers
The InSPIRED Specialist Program gives students the opportunity to:

  • Be part of a select entry program that fosters creativity, design thinking, and innovation
  • Develop skills highly valued in future industries, careers and adaptable to the ever-changing world
  • Gain a competitive edge by collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking and communication.
  • Work with passionate educators in a hands-on, project-based learning environment
  • Showcase their talents through exhibitions, displays, and competitions
  • Utilise specialised technology and access extra-curricular opportunities

The program combines expert teaching, hands-on learning, project-based problem solving, and collaboration with real-world mentors, industry experts, and businesses. Teachers provide structure and guidance while allowing students the freedom to explore, experiment, and take ownership of their learning. Students will also gain confidence as they pitch and defend ideas, and justify their achievement through evidence-based self-assessment.
