Dear Community Members
It is with very mixed feelings that I announce that I will be leaving Eaton Community College at the end of the 2017 academic year and taking up the principal position at Lakeland SHS for 2018.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my 13 years at the college and I am extremely proud of the achievements that we have made over this time. I feel that the time is now right for a new leader to come into the college and continue to work on these great achievements and keep moving the school forward.
During term 1, 2018, Mr Grant Walton will be the Principal of the college and Mr Jamie Nunn will be an Associate Principal, along with Ms Kathryn Inman who will maintain her Associate Principal position. Mrs Karen Hart will move into the Coordinator of College Operations role for the term.
During term 1, the Department of Education will run a selection process and a substantive Principal will be appointed to lead the college from Term 2 onwards.
I would like to thank all members of our community who have provided support to the college and to me personally over the past 13 years. I encourage all college community members to get involved with the school, either through the College Board or P&C Association because a school that has strong community support will continue to provide outstanding service to the students that attend.
I look forward to watching the progress of the college over future years as I think that there are exciting times ahead with the new science building and some fabulous initiatives with the Shire of Dardanup. I leave Eaton Community College in the knowledge that the future is very bright for the students and local community.
I would like to wish all members of our college community a happy and safe Christmas and New Year period.
Kind regards to all in our community.
